'.....Thou art fled to brutish beasts'

Or is it just disorganised chaos? Oh no, my chaos is always well organised. My work room-cum-padded cell currently has six ongoing projects in a holding pattern. I don't currently have a strait-jacket but there is talk of ordering me one for Christmas. Can I last that long?
My wife sometimes mentions the state of my work room, and compares it with our teenage son's. Apparently, his room is tidier. What does she mean? Actually, my wife is very good about the mess; she hoovers in here now and then with her eyes shut and her lips firmly sealed. A singular woman.

Apparently, it's 'claustrophobic'.....

Big Build

On average I build between fifty and sixty models a year. Completing at least one a week makes this job more than just 'full time'. This makes for a lot of pressure, so every now and then I build a model of my own choice, for relaxation.

This time, it's Revell's Gato Class Sub in 1/72. Even in that scale it's four and a half feet long and takes up most of my largest work area. The hull is coming along nicely - big parts that fit well. Fantastic fun! I'll be adding some more photos as I go along.

Decals with Grip

The 'Tony' is taking shape nicely - overly thin decals notwithstanding. They curl under so fast and once curled there's no return. Placing the backing paper over the very wet spot on the model allows the decal to slide directly in to position, no curling.

Here's a photo of the decals, set, perfect.

Here's a photo of the 'Tony' with all of its decals fitted and dry.

How does it look?

Break Time

This is not a common view. With the next project already lined up and the previous one cleared away, I always appreciate a quiet moment, before it's back to business. Speaking of which.....
